Using Google Apps with Canvas

Google has some nifty apps (Docs, Slides, and Sheets) that are super easy to update. It's pretty easy to integrate these into Canvas, and doing so could save you a lot of time, especially if you teach at different institutions and only want to update ONE document that is shared in different Campus Canvas sites. You can link to the URL or embed Google apps. 

You can also use Google docs with students -  letting them edit the google docs is a fun way to do a group activity.  For example, you could set up a Google Slides presentation and assign a few slides to each group in the class, have them edit the slides, and then present at the end of the collaborative activity.
