How to Change your Email Address
When new instructors first begin they usually provide a personal email address to the District as a form of contact. This can later cause problems with syncing inside of Canvas if their WebAdvisor account hasn't subsequently been updated with their new gcccd.edu email address.
Some systems, such as the free ConferZoom account for educators, require an "edu" email address. In order to successfully integrate ConferZoom inside of Canvas, both systems email addresses must match. See the following link on how to change your email address in WebAdvisor/Colleague. After changing your email address, allow one business day for the change to be uploaded into Canvas - Change Email Address in WebAdvisor/Colleague. Links to an external site.
If you are unable to change your WebAdvisor email address, contact your department and ask them to escalate to the District (probably will be HR) to get your email address changed in Colleague (which is the backend system for WebAdvisor).
