Canvas for Absolute Beginners
We want to help you get started!
A quick way to get started with Canvas is to import a Canvas shell (template). Then you can add features as you get comfortable with Canvas.
Here is a very simple template. Click to download it and then follow the handout instructions to import it.

Once this is set up, here are the basic things that will help you:
- Use the Rich Content Editor to edit pages

- Send individual messages to students through Conversations in the Canvas Inbox. Canvas Guide Links to an external site.

It's always helpful to have someone talk you through something new, so we encourage you to attend a workshop or find a mentor.
After you are comfortable with the basics
