How to add your syllabus with automatic preview
Giving students an automatic preview of files can be done anywhere you have a Rich Content Editor (RCE) in Canvas, not just the Syllabus page. Displaying files this way keeps students in Canvas, and you no longer have to wonder if students will have the right software to open Word or PowerPoint files. Canvas has a way to display typical file formats for students without them having to download anything.
The video and steps below show how to add a syllabus with automatic preview to the Syllabus page.
Steps to show a file preview on the Syllabus Page:
- Go to your course
- Upload your syllabus using the Files tool Links to an external site.
- Click Syllabus on the course menu
