Grade Posting Policy Changes

In the Gradebook, the word MANUAL will display in the assignment header to indicate the assignment is set with the Manual Posting Policy instead of the an eye icon with a slash through it.

Assignments set with the Automatic Posting Policy Links to an external site. do not include any additional indicator aside from the point value.

The black and white hidden visibility icon (the eye with a slash through it) will only display once manually posted grades have been entered into the Gradebook that need to be posted.

IMPORTANT: Selecting a manual posting policy will not retroactively hide grades that have already been entered. Be sure to set a manual grade posting policy for an assignment Links to an external site.before any students have submitted the assignment to make sure all grades are hidden from students.

Any grades that have already been entered will remain visible. To hide grades for an assignment that has already been posted, you can hide grades from the assignment’s Options menu Links to an external site..

These changes go into effect on October 19, 2019.
