Merge (Cross-list Requests)
Merging (called Cross-listing in Canvas) is helpful for instructors who teach several sections of the same course and want to manage the course in one container. Cross-listing must be done before courses have any content or student work. To request cross-listing, complete the Merge Requests form linked in the button below.
Change Canvas Display Name
This will change how your name appears in Discussions, Announcements and Conversations in Canvas, but it will not change the display of your name on the People page or Grades. Your Self-Service and Canvas username will stay the same.
LTI Request/Plug-Ins
Instructors have the ability to add an LTI to a course or to request an LTI be added at the department, college, or district level.
Add an LTI to a Course
Before installing any LTI, you will need to contact the vendor about the LTI you want to install and make sure it can be installed at the course level. Also, the vendor should supply you with two pieces of information - a Consumer Key and a Shared Secret. You will need these when you install the LTI. Two examples of LTI's that can be installed at the course level are Flip Grid and Google Docs. Google Assignments is an example that does not work well with our school.
If you have issues with the installation or configuring and using the LTI at the course level, you will need to contact the vendor.
- Go to your course, click on Settings, Apps. Then search for the LTI.
- Click once on the LTI.
- Click on the “Add App” button for the LTI. Enter in the Consumer Key and Shared Secret.
- Follow the prompts to configure the LTI.
