📑 Module 5 Overview

In Module 5, we assess our understanding of probability and probability distributions. If you watch the review video and take a sample exam or two, you should be prepared for the exam! We also move forward into sampling distributions.

To Do List

Here's the to do list for the week, if you click the next button at the bottom of the screen, you'll be guided to the next step.

By Tuesday

  1. Study for Exam 2:
    1. Work through at least two sample exams in the 👩‍🏫 Exam 2 Material (Parts 4 & 5) area. 
    2. Try out the sample exam (which has been split in two):
      1. 💯 Sample Part 4 Questions 
      2. 💯 Sample Part 5 Questions
  2. Make up some points, if needed:
    1. Need to make up for an online activity? Tackle Optional 💻: Discrimination or Something Else?
    2. Take Optional ✔️ Knowledge Check #9 - an optional knowledge check to make sure you are ready for Exam 2 and to make up for a low-scoring knowledge check from the prior 4 weeks.
  3. If you're ready, take 💯 Exam 2 - it will be open from Monday to Thursday, just like Exam 1!

By Wednesday

  1. Today is the WITHDRAWAL Deadline. Determine if you should remain in the class. The grades in Canvas are up-to-date, so you can use them to determine if you will do as well as you had hoped. 
  2. Watch the videos for the end of Part 5 and first section of Part 6.

    2. 👩‍🏫 Week 5.2
  3. Between Week 5.1 and Week 5.2, or after, you can see the ideas of 6.1 in action with 💻 Earth's Surface - Sampling Distributions! 
  4. Take ✔️ Knowledge Check #10 - my other classes have really struggled with this one, which I blame mostly on Chegg having wrong answers. You can find a video with the mistake I kept seeing in my other classes here: http://youtu.be/S0LtdWmu_OU?hd=1 Links to an external site.
  5. Complete the 💻 Confidence Intervals Activity on Desmos to preview 6.2.
  6. Finish up with the last videos from Lecture Notes 6.2:  👩‍🏫 Week 5.3 (Confidence Intervals)

By Thursday
