Reading Assignment (Week 1)

As part of your week 1 assignment, please read Sections 1.1 - 1.3 of the textbook. You may find the following summary videos helpful, but please do not use them as a substitute for reading the text.

A note to instructors: when embedding YouTube videos within an "Inline Text" item, use the HTML editor. Click the "Modify" link (or select to add a new item) and look for the blue HTML button above (next to the math editor buttons). Once you've opened the HTML editor you can just paste the code to embed the video (open the video in YouTube, click the "share" button below the video, and click the "Embed" option). If you click the "HTML" button here you can always just copy and paste this code into a new "Inline Text" item and then edit accordingly.
