Using Library Resources - Module Overview

 

By the end of this lesson, participants will be able to

  • Describe the purpose of using library databases.
  • Access and use library databases.
  • Describe synonyms for key concepts in a research question and generate a list of good search terms (keywords).
  • Develop a search strategy using keywords, Boolean operators, and/or other advanced techniques.

To meet the objectives of this lesson, you will complete the following activities and assessments:

  • Read approximately three Canvas pages of conceptual explanations.
  • Watch about two short instructional videos, each three minutes or shorter.
  • Complete an interactive tutorial for practice in identifying and using keywords.
  • Take a short quiz on the concepts introduced in this module.
