This course is designed to be an introduction to the law with emphasis on how it relates to the business world. It is not designed to be a substitute for law school, as it touches very slightly on legal issues. In one semester, we cover 42 different chapters, so there is no way that we can go into depth in any one area. That said, it should be fun and engaging
One hour each week will be online.
There will be two hours and twenty-five minutes each week on campus. There we will discuss the relevant legal issues, do some group work and do some critical thinking about the law.
During week 1 be sure to take the syllabus extra credit quiz for 10 points. It closes on February 16 at midnight.
Also post your online introduction so that we can know something about you. You can do a brief paragraph about yourself, your background and your aspirations. It is worth 10 points also. It also closes on February 16 at midnight.
Class attendance will start on February 26. You can earn 5 points for your attendance and participation at the discretion of the instructor. You can earn a total of 50 points total.
I hope you have fun, learn some law and enjoy the class.
