Instructions
For this writing exercise, you will read the infographic below. After reading it, I will choose sections of the infographic and ask you to write a sentence that correctly uses noun clauses in reported speech to talk about what the infographic says. If you need to review, please look at the study materials for noun clauses before you take this practice exercise. There, you will see examples of sentences written about the information in this same infographic.
To be successful in your answers, you need to remember to:
- use verbs like says, reports, claims, shows.
- use a noun clause that begins with the noun clause maker that.
- make sure your noun clause has a subject and a verb.
- not copy all the words exactly as they appear in the infographic but use your own words to explain what it says; you need to paraphrase what the infographic says.
- This is a practice quiz; your score will not affect your grade.
